Card / payment declined

The 'Add Credits' button does nothing and my browser console shows a Stripe error

If clicking 'Add Credits' does nothing and your browser console shows a Stripe API error, the failure is happening before you ever reach a payment form — so it isn't your card, your bank, or anything you did. No amount of retrying or clearing your cache will move it if the call itself is failing.

Two things sometimes clear it: try an incognito window with extensions disabled (an ad blocker eating the Stripe script produces exactly this symptom), and if you're on a VPN, drop it for one attempt. If neither works, it's a server-side issue and only OpenRouter's own support can resolve it.

Crypto payment doesn't touch this checkout flow at all, so it's unaffected by whatever's causing the Stripe error. ROZO Checkout works with BTC Lightning, USDC, USDT and more against an OpenRouter link for a 1% fee — a separate route, not a fix for the button itself. ROZO is independent and not affiliated with OpenRouter or Coinbase.

Steps to check

  1. Open an incognito/private window with all extensions disabled and try again.
  2. If using a VPN, disable it for one attempt.
  3. If it still fails, this is a server-side issue — file a support ticket rather than continuing to retry.
  4. Use a crypto top-up as an alternative path that bypasses this checkout flow entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Stripe 404 error something I can fix myself?
Sometimes an ad blocker or VPN is the cause and disabling it helps — but a genuine server-side 404 requires OpenRouter's own team to fix.
Does this mean OpenRouter's card payments are down entirely?
Not necessarily for everyone — check if the card path is working for you elsewhere, or ask in official support channels whether it's a known outage.

Pay with ROZO Checkout instead

Skip the wrong-network / wrong-token mistakes: paste the payment link and pay with any major coin on any supported chain.
