Several people reported this on OpenRouter's Discord in September 2026: a crypto top-up goes through, the account is limited shortly after, the balance is locked, and the refund ticket goes unanswered. OpenRouter has not published why these accounts are limited, so we will not guess at the cause, and you should be wary of anyone who claims to know it.
What you can do is give OpenRouter support everything they need in one place. Open one ticket and include the transaction hash of the crypto payment, the payment link or payment ID OpenRouter generated, the amount and the UTC time, the email on the account, and a plain description of what the account shows now. Reply on that ticket rather than opening new ones, and keep your own copy of the details.
What not to do: do not top up again to test whether the account still works, because a second payment can land behind the same limit; do not create a second account, because that tends to make a review harder rather than easier; and do not send a crypto payment expecting it back, because OpenRouter states that cryptocurrency payments are never refundable.
What nobody outside OpenRouter can do: ROZO cannot unlock an OpenRouter account, cannot see or move its balance, and cannot refund a crypto purchase, whether it was paid on the Coinbase page or through us. Account limits are OpenRouter's decision and only OpenRouter support can review one. ROZO is independent and not affiliated with OpenRouter or Coinbase.
