Refunds & balance

My unused OpenRouter credits were wiped after 365 days — can I get them back?

This is OpenRouter's credit expiry policy: prepaid credits that go untouched for 365 days are cleared, and unfortunately it doesn't come with an advance warning email. This is a platform policy question, not a payment-tracing issue — ROZO's tools can't restore or reverse an expiry, since we have no connection to OpenRouter's credit ledger.

Your realistic path is to open a ticket at support@openrouter.ai with your account email and the original purchase amount and date, and ask directly whether they can restore or refund the balance. It's also worth pulling your transaction history to establish exactly when the balance was last used, which strengthens the case that it genuinely sat untouched rather than being spent.

We're sorry this happened — a silent expiry with no warning is a rough way to lose money, and it isn't something we can fix on our end.

Steps to check

  1. Pull your OpenRouter transaction/usage history to confirm when the balance was last touched.
  2. Note the original purchase amount and date.
  3. Open a ticket at support@openrouter.ai with your account email, asking whether the balance can be restored or refunded.
  4. Set a reminder to use future credits within the expiry window to avoid this happening again.

Frequently asked questions

Can ROZO get my expired credits back?
No — this is an OpenRouter account policy issue, not a payment-tracing problem, and ROZO has no access to or control over OpenRouter's credit ledger.
Does OpenRouter warn you before credits expire?
Based on user reports, no advance warning is typically sent before the 365-day expiry clears an unused balance.
