Refunds & balance

My OpenRouter refund has been pending for 20+ days — what do I do?

Refunds on OpenRouter credits normally land within a few business days of being approved, so 20 or more days with nothing means it's genuinely stuck somewhere in the process, not just slow. The best path is opening a ticket with OpenRouter support (support@openrouter.ai) with the refund and charge IDs, the original payment method, the amount, and the date the refund was requested.

If you originally paid through a third-party checkout rather than OpenRouter directly, it's worth checking the refund status with that provider as well, since the refund may be routed through them rather than OpenRouter.

This is a support-side reconciliation issue that ROZO cannot directly resolve, since we don't control OpenRouter's refund processing. If the original payment went through ROZO Checkout, ROZO Rescue can confirm exactly what was paid and when, which is useful documentation for your ticket. ROZO is independent and not affiliated with OpenRouter or Coinbase.

Steps to check

  1. Gather the refund ID, original charge ID, payment method, amount, and the date you requested the refund.
  2. Open a support ticket with all of that information included.
  3. If you paid through a third-party checkout, ask that provider for the refund status too.
  4. If paid via ROZO Checkout, use ROZO Rescue for a record of the original payment.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 20-day refund delay normal?
No — most refunds land within a few business days. Weeks of delay is worth escalating directly rather than continuing to wait.
Can ROZO issue the refund directly?
No — refunds on OpenRouter charges are processed by OpenRouter or its payment processor, not ROZO, regardless of how the original payment was made.
